Where My Heart is....

Not long ago I quietly marked the 8th anniversary of my moving to Texas.  Soon after arriving I read an article written in the Dallas Morning News stating 35 thousand children were food insecure in Collin County...my new home.  I pulled the article out and hung it in my studio...feeling I needed to do something...

When I opened 540 Mercantile an opportunity to give was created...A Taste of Grace Jewelry... where 100% of the proceeds are donated to The North Texas Food Bank...

A bit later I designed and manufactured a sterling silver pendant where each necklace sold provides 75 meals for our hungry neighbors.

Each sale I do a happy dance...that might be too graphic of a word picture there...but it does thrill my heart! You and I join as a team to help others...those with small or weathered faces with one thing in common...empty dinner plates...
